• Green Valley Homestead is a stylish holiday house in a quiet rural setting on Flinders Island.

• The cottage is situated on a highly productive sheep and cattle property, only five minutes’ drive to the bustling township of Whitemark.

• Green Valley is also on the doorstep of some of the most spectacular beaches, mountains and bush tracks on Flinders including Trousers Point and Fotheringate Bay.

• If you love to hike then take the Mt Strzelecki challenge – a 756-metre uphill climb that overlooks Green Valley and has stunning views across Bass Strait, and as far as mainland Tasmania on a clear day.

• The secluded cottage garden at Green Valley is the perfect place to chill and enjoy your time on this exquisite island.

• The fully equipped kitchen is a joy to cook in. The large, open-plan living space is light-filled, offering views of the garden and the farm.

• The sunroom is a calm and beautiful space for reading and relaxing, and has a glass sliding door onto the deck.

• The property is fitted with reverse cycle air conditioning and also has a wood-burning heater for cooler evenings.

• The house has two generous queen-sized bedrooms and a third with twin singles. Beds are all fitted with designer 100 percent cotton bed linen, electric blankets and hotel-quality mattresses and doonas.

• There are two bathrooms – one with a shower and heated towel rail and another with a bath - with Sheridan towels along with body wash, shampoo and conditioner, as well as a hairdryer.

• Fresh flowers from the garden have been beautifully arranged by the owner and placed in every room of the house, along with magazines for your enjoyment.

• Arrive to the smell of freshly made bread and open the fridge to find eggs straight from the owner’s chookhouse. Breakfast is provided for the first morning including muesli, milk, condiments, tea and coffee.

• There is also a laundry, BBQ, picnic equipment, iron, and board games.

NOTES 

Green Valley backs onto the island’s nine-hole golf course which is where you find the die-hard local golfers every Saturday. If you’re into tennis there are courts at Lady Barron, so bring your racquet. Love working up a sweat? Then join the local boot camp or hit the road with the running club in Whitemark. Fancy some off-road fun? Hire a mountain bike from the depot in town or book a fishing or hiking adventure tour. Plus check out the locally produced gin and whisky distillery, the wineries, or take a cooking class at Badger Corner. There are also cafes and restaurants featuring homegrown produce. 2 night stays available with a cleaning surcharge of $100 applying to these bookings | Prefer minimum 3 night stays

Cancellations & Refunds

A 20% deposit is required to secure the booking. Full payment is due no later than seven days before arrival. To be entitled to a full refund you need to provide at least 14 days notice otherwise you forfeit the deposit.
